Our Community

Parents and Friends Association (P&F)

We have a very active Parent and Friends Association at Sapphire Coast Anglican College. Our families are friendly and keen to get involved supporting the Canteen, Carnivals, morning teas and other fundraising events. Every year the P and F run a wonderful College Country Fair. This is a key event on the calendar and is supported widely across the community. We pride ourselves on our partnership all working together to make our College an amazing place and our P and F are central to this.

We are always keen for new families to join our P and F. We have parent representatives for every year level supporting families and students with events and get togethers that build a strong community. We also, welcome members to join the P and F committee where we meet twice per term and plan events across the College. We have enjoyed events such as: movie nights, pot luck dinner, Mother’s Day Breakfast, Father’s Day breakfast, discos and more.

Many people within our college community in Bega have a variety of talents that you may wish to share. We are keen to hear from our families with any area that you are passionate about that you would be willing to come in and help share your skills. You may have a passion area that you would like to volunteer in such as:

Hospitality
Arts
Business
Agriculture
Early Childhood
Sport
Gymnastics
Farming
Animal Rescue

There really are so many things that people maybe passionate about. If you are keen to share a talent you have then let us know! We would love to build our P and F to share various skills and talents with our students and broader community.

When is P&F held?

The P and F is held every second Wednesday of the month at 6pm in the staff room. We welcome all parents and carers to attend. It is a wonderful opportunity to meet other parents & to be involved in your child/children’s school.

What is the role of P&F?

The Role of the P and F is to work with and help support the school, the students and the families. We run a range of activities and fundraisers throughout the year giving us the opportunity to put back into the school. It may be needed items purchased for the school through fundraising or helping create lasting memories for the students.

Can I be involved with P&F?

Absolutely! The P and F is definitely a teamwork effort, we have a wonderful group of parents, we always enjoy a laugh together and all have a common interest in wanting to be involved in our beautiful school community. Please feel free to enquire.
